On June 18, 2001, I underwent surgery to correct my Chiari Malformation.

At the time I was only 15 years old, and I am a girl.

So while my entire family was in the pre-op room , everyone was crying except me.

All I was worried about  was how much of my gorgeous brown hair was going to get cut off!
