Conquer Chiari Call for Research Proposals 2010:  Focus on Physical Therapy

Conquer Chiari is pleased to announce a call for research proposals in the specific area of “Determining The Effectiveness of Physical Therapy on Chiari Related Neck, Shoulder, and Arm Pain and Disability.

We invite qualified researchers to submit proposals for up to $75,000.

Interested applicants should carefully review the Research Grant Guidelines and complete the Research Grant Application. In addition, Conquer Chiari has prepared a Project Description as an example of the type of proposals we are looking for:

Please note the following important dates:

Call For Proposals: March 15th, 2010
Applications Due: June 30th, 2010
Award Notification: August 15th, 2010
Funding: September 1st, 2010

Priority will be given to proposals which demonstrate a clear path to clinical impact and/or a fundamental improvement in the current state of scientific understanding. Priority will also be given to proposals which can demonstrate the potential to generate future funding outside this grant process, such as from Federal or private foundation grants.

If there is a question as to the relevance of a project idea, applicants are encouraged to discuss their project ideas with the organizations prior to submitting a full application.
