CONQUERING PEDIATRIC CHIARI STARTS WITH YOU!

Please join us for the Fourth Annual Pediatric Chiari Gala. Through
your sponsorships, donations and attendance, we have been successful
in raising awareness and critical research funds in the battle against
Pediatric Chiari. Contributions from our first three events funded four
research grants focused on Pediatric Chiari Malformation. With your
generous support, we continue to build on this success!

Chiari Malformation is a serious neurological disorder of the brain and
spinal cord, affecting over 300,000 people in the U.S. alone. Chiari
causes crippling headaches, neck pain, balance problems, breathing
issues, weakness in the limbs, and many other mental and physical
challenges. Children with Chiari can also experience developmental
and learning delays. Chiari often takes years to diagnose and can only
be detected through an MRI. While invasive surgery can alleviate or
stop the progression of symptoms, there is no medical consensus on
treatment.

Your participation in the 2012 Gala will help identify and treat Chiari
early, and address the particular challenges children with Chiari face.
We hope you will be a part of finding the “OFF” switch for this
debilitating disease.
